Question

Will we be safer if we use two condoms rather than just the one?

Answer

Although it sounds as though using two condoms would be safer than one, it's not. Using two condoms doesn't give you any extra protection and the condoms could also slip off or rip.

If you want more protection than a condom can offer, you and your partner might want to consider using an additional method of contraception (e.g. the pill). You can find out more about contraception and the options open to you at a service such as your local Brook Centre or your local family planning clinic.

If you're worried about using condoms you might want to find out more about putting condoms on and using condoms safely.
