Question

I've heard a lot lately about 'cannabis crystals'. What are they?

Answer

A lot of slang is used when referring to drugs and this can make it hard to know what certain names mean.

Cannabis is a plant whose active ingredient is tetrahydrocannabinol, better know as THC. The term 'Cannabis crystals' is slang for the THC resin glands on the buds of the cannabis plant. The more mature the plant, the more glands. The contents of the glands are extracted to make resin and hash.

It is important to remember that cannabis is illegal in this country, despite controversy over the reclassification. If you would like further information and advice about cannabis, you can contact Frank on 0800 77 66 00. You will also be able to get information about drug support services in your local area in case you would like to talk to someone face to face.
