Festival line-up revealed...

What would be your ideal festival line-up, dead or alive? We headed down to the V Festival with Virgin Radio and caught up with you as you chilled out between acts.

At the V Festival

If you could have anyone perform at your festival, who would it be?

Florence

Florence, 18 I'd probably have Elvis headlining because I think he's an absolute legend and I might also have Jimi Hendrix. As for bands that are alive and kicking, I'd definitely have Oasis and I'd probably add a few happy pop bands into the mix, like The Four Tops, The Isly Brothers, or anything with a Motown or 50s feel to it.

Dave

Dave, 19 My ideal line-up would be Rage Against The Machine, Nirvana, some psychedelic shit like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and I'd drop in a bit of The Who.

Rachel

Rachel, 18 I would have to have Elvis because if you could have anyone who was dead at a festival, it's got to be the king of rock and roll. I'd have The Strokes because I saw them at the V Festival a couple of years ago and they were absolutely amazing. I'd have The Libertines because even though they're not 'dead', I think they're pretty much dead as a band, so I'd have them back. I'd also add some more chilled sounds to it and Van Morrison. That would be such a good gig.

Edward

Edward, 25 I'd like to have Johnny Burrell on a solo, then I'd have The Fratellis, The Kooks, Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, then Johnny Burrell again to finish it all off. I think that'd be alright, don't you?

Helena

Helena, 18 If I could choose my ideal act to kick-start the festival off it would have to be Queen. Come to think of it, they would do actually - just Queen and no one else!

Robbie

Robbie, 22 It would be fantastic to have The Who, Rolling Stones, Queens of the Stone Age and then I'd end it all off with Kings of Leon.

Madeline

Madeline, 18 I'd definitely have some Queen, and another legendary group, The Beatles. It would also be great to see The Beach Boys for some feel-good summer music. Then I would have some modern artists like Paulo Nutini and Jack Johnson because they're so chilled out.

Praven

Praven, 23 I'd have some Biggie Smalls, definitely Nirvana, then I'd want something to chill out to like Morcheeba. I'd end it all with Big L.

Collette

Collette, 18 I would definitely have The Clash, the Sex Pistols with Sid Viscious, and The Libertines. Bands of the moment that I'd want in my line-up would probably be The Cribs, because of the whole political vibe against indie music at the moment. I'd also consider having the Maccabees, because although they're an up-and-coming band, they're still really good.

Chris

Chris, 24 My idea line-up would be the Foo Fighters as my number one band. I'd also have Coldplay and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I'm looking forward to seeing The Killers this weekend, so they'd also be good. Perhaps I'd end it with some Razorlight because I really like them, and definitely not Take That. Not ever!
