GUM clinics

If you've had unprotected sex and think you might have come into contact with a sexually transmitted infection (STI) you should visit your local genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic. You can find their number in the phone book or by calling your local hospital.
Confidentiality
All information you provide at a GUM clinic stays confidential. You can even give a false name if you're really worried.
You can still be seen in complete confidence if you're under 16. If you test positive for an infection, they would keep that information confidential. They will not inform your parents, school or doctor.
