Flying solo

Question

How old do you have to be to fly own your own?

Answer

There isn't a specific legal restriction on the age of airline passengers. Each individual airline will state its own preference for the minimum age at which young people can travel alone. For example, British Airways permits anyone over the age of twelve to travel unsupervised and Easyjet allow children over the age of fourteen to travel alone.

Regardless of the age issue, It's best to check the terms and conditions of the airlines you are interested in flying with before you book, just to avoid any problems when flying.
