Question

I am thinking about selling my house, investing the profit and renting. Would this be a positive decision?

Answer

This is obviously a very big decision to make so it's good that you've chosen to seek advice and look at your options before taking your next step. Your decision will depend on many personal factors, such as how much you can get for your house, how much you can rent for, your future plans and the ways you choose to invest your money.

Before making a decision like this it would be a good idea to get proper financial advice from an Independent Financial Advisor. They will be able to give you more detailed advice as they'll have all your personal financial details to hand and they also have a good understanding of the current financial market. You will need to look at how you can invest your money in a way that is safe but also gives you a decent return. You may also want to consider other options such as renting out your property.

Once you have done your research and gathered your information, talk through your options with close friends and family to be sure you're making the right decision.
