School alco-holiday
Question
I'm going on holiday to Italy with my school - what's the legal age there for drinking alcohol?
Answer
The minimum age for both the purchase and consumption of alcohol in Italy is 16. However, you'll also need to take into account any rules imposed by your school during the trip because they will have legal responsibility for your wellbeing. If you don't know what the rules about alcohol consumption are, check with a teacher before you go.
Whether you're drinking overseas or at home, take care to do so safely. Alcohol can affect different people in different ways, so make sure you know your limit and are aware of the risks and effects.
