Is life better with facial hair?
Big bushy beard or clean-cut camper? We headed of to the World Beard and Moustache Championships in Brighton to find out if life is better with facial hair.
Facial hair
DO you prefer some stubble, a full-on beard or a nice clean shave?
Andrew, 24 Life is definitely better with a beard. It makes you look more interesting and you can pretend to be someone different everyday. You can shave or shape it. You can have lamb chops, goatee, or a moustache. It doesn't matter.
Claire, 24 I'd imagine life is better with facial hair. It's a little self-insulation device on your face. It would keep you warm on those cold winter mornings going to work. You can style it in so many ways. There are no ends to what you can do with a beard.
Josie, 22
I think that life would be much more interesting if women could grow beards. I'd definitely grow one if I could.
Kev, 24 Life is brilliant with facial hair. Everywhere you go people want to stop and speak to you. When I go to the supermarket the people on the checkout always ask "Is it real?" I love it. It's a way of life now.
Michael, 21 I don't think that it's had that big of an impact on my life, but things have become slightly better with a beard. Before I felt inadequate and now I feel emasculated. (Are you sure you don't mean emancipated? - ed.)
Rob, 23 The best thing about having a tash is that I used to have a Mohican, and when I had it no one would sit next to me on the bus. Now I've got a moustache lots of women come up and chat to me.
