Online Communities
We are a community network of local websites and we need volunteers who can cover events, write up reports, attend and report on meetings and activities, send us news and events from their neighbourhood and who are prepared to join in and make Online Communities - already award-winning nationally and locally - even better for the communities where we live. Whatever your field of interest - arts, sport, environment, youth activities, transportation, social care - you can help Online Communities. Someone willing to work from home and help to gain fund-raising for the charity. You would have to have marketing and advertising expertise. An interest in issues is far more important than technical ability.

Online Mentoring
93 Locations
Horsesmouth
Horsesmouth is a safe, purpose-built, confidential website for informal e-mentoring. We are looking for anyone who has an experience to share and is aged sixteen plus to volunteer and become a mentor. At sixteen or indeed 60 you may be wondering what qualifies you to be a mentor. Well you don't have to have any training or qualifications. Horsesmouth is not a professional advisory service. What it is, however, is a sounding board for those occasions in life when people really want to talk to someone whos been there and done that. So, if you have some time to spare (10 minutes or 10 hours) you can help support and inspire others by registering as a mentor. From starting a business to starting a family; from life with cancer to life as a carer; from which A level, NVQ or undergraduate course to whither an MBA; someone needs what you know. As a mentor you will be asked to complete a fairly thought provoking questionnaire. It shouldnt take any longer than 15 minutes to complete, but after its been approved you can get online and respond to calls for help.A key principle of the Horsesmouth site is that we all have something to give and gain so in addition to mentoring someone, you may find your own mentor on Horsesmouth.
