From starting a business to starting a family; from life with cancer to life as a carer; from which A level, NVQ or undergraduate course to whither an MBA; someone needs what you know. As a mentor you will be asked to complete a fairly thought provoking questionnaire. It shouldnt take any longer than 15 minutes to complete, but after its been approved you can get online and respond to calls for help.A key principle of the Horsesmouth site is that we all have something to give and gain so in addition to mentoring someone, you may find your own mentor on Horsesmouth.

Do you have marketing experience? If yes, you could to use your skills this summer to help re-brand a vibrant project. Safe in Sound are looking to put together a group of volunteers to work together to reshape the project. Safe in Sound has been in existence for over 10 years and whilst the project's mission and philosophy are still relevant to the client group, the project's profile could be much higher. The volunteers have suggested that they would like to grow Safe in Sound by giving the project a branding make over. Our aims of the re-branding are to:Utilise volunteers in an exciting ways from creating opportunities in areas such marketing, promotion, music, art and design.Create a brand which will be recognisable and distinct in the night time economy from other promotions, alcohol and club. Create a brand which will also be a face for our volunteers, from which they can build a relationship with the public. This works on two levels firstly keeping volunteers safe and recognisable and secondly, giving the volunteers a base from where they can communicate with people. (The project would like to achieve this by having a distinctive logo, which would be put onto hoodies, T-shirts and bags etc) Redesign our web space. The re-branding would involve a new portal website where people can get info onoDrugs adviceoMusicoBeing safe when out at nightoSexual health adviceoHow they can volunteer with safe in soundRedesign our Outreach space redesign our outreach stand and think more creatively about how we interact with people at events. We would be looking to redesign the freebies, how we collect statistical data and the stand itself. This is a great opportunity fun anyone who is looking to have an interesting project for their portfolio or network with people in the field. Or even just to use your skills in an exciting way.
