From starting a business to starting a family; from life with cancer to life as a carer; from which A level, NVQ or undergraduate course to whither an MBA; someone needs what you know. As a mentor you will be asked to complete a fairly thought provoking questionnaire. It shouldnt take any longer than 15 minutes to complete, but after its been approved you can get online and respond to calls for help.A key principle of the Horsesmouth site is that we all have something to give and gain so in addition to mentoring someone, you may find your own mentor on Horsesmouth.

E-Befriending
National Autistic Society
The NAS new e-befriending scheme offers people with autism the chance to build friendships with a trained volunteer through email. E-befriending takes on average 1 hour a week and can be done from home or from anywhere that you have internet access. This new service is a supplement to the befriending service and will provide people with autism the opportunity to learn social and communication skills in a way that may be more suitable to them - this is particularly useful when an individual lives somewhere remote and is otherwise unable to access other services or when a volunteer has very limited time. The National Autistic Society matches volunteers to families and individuals who have something in common. By giving some of your time you could really open up this world and support their inclusion in society. You could really make a difference.
