Fundraising Support Superstar

African Revival

African Revival works with marginalised communities in East and Southern Africa. Our aim is simple - to equip Africans with the skills and resources they need to lift themselves out of poverty. Our focus is on education and sustainable livelihoods projects - building schools, teaching teachers, providing access to clean and safe water, and training local people to set-up and manage their own small income-generating.A great opportunity for a motivated and energetic individual to get involved with a local charity providing aid and assistance to marginalised communities in East and Southern Africa. The ideal candidate will be outgoing and approachable, have a strong interest in International Development, preferably educated to A-level, and have excellent IT and communication skills. The purpose of the Fundraising Support Superstar is to provide creative and administrative support to the Fundraising Team - building up and reinforcing links with local schools, universities, and businesses; masterminding new fundraising events and ideas; and using your creative spark to design fundraising packs and initiatives to recruit new supporters and raise the profile of African Revival in the local community through a range of multi-media.With the guidance and support of the Fundraising Team, the role will involve a variety of tasks - researching new fundraising avenues on the internet, telephoning, writing to and visiting local schools and businesses, updating supporter information on the African Revival Database and using it to send out target mailings, designing posters and fundraising packs to promote African Revival, and helping out at our local events. As office space is limited at African Revival, there is an opportunity to undertake much of this work from home (providing you have internet access), and then pop into the AR office once a week to have a brief progress meeting with the fundraising team.
