DanceEast
DanceEast brings world-class dance to the East of England. We are looking for ushers for a number of upcoming performances. Volunteers would be briefed about the evenings performance and then asked to greet guests, check tickets, sell programmes and answer general questions before the performance and during the interval. DanceEast will be presenting an electic programme of performances throughout the year, widening the experience of audiences and bringing a new and invigorated audience to dance. Ushers will be asked to arrive by 6.30pm, to stay until after the interval or end of performance around 9.30 - 10.00pm.You could commit to one off performances or be part of a regular volunteer usher team. Up and coming dates:7 NovemberOne night only featuring a line up of international dance superstars.8 ushers 6.30-10.00pm4/5 DecemberPreview of a new piece by Royal Opera House's choreographer Will Tucket.8 ushers 5.30-7.30pm12 December 'Winter Showcase', our winter showcase of young talent from all over East Anglia.Two shows a 8 ushers 3.00-6.30pm and 6.30-10.00pm14-20 DecemberMagical Italian show 'Butterflies', our alternative Christmas show.Each 4 ushers14th 1.00-3.00pm15th, 16th, 17th 10.00-12.00pm and 1.00-3.00pm18th 10.00-12.00pm and 4.00-6.00pm19th 10.00-12.00, 1.00-3.00pm and 3.30-5.30pm20th 10.00-12.00 and 12.00-2.00pmDanceEast also works with regional dance artists, bringing in established choreographers and renowned companies to support professional development. DanceEast encourages emerging artists, providing a framework of training, support and performance opportunities. DanceEast supports Wayne McGregor | Random Dance and Bonachela Dance Company as Associate Dance Companies, and Isobel Cohen and Heather Eddington as Associate Dance Artists. 8 volunteers are required for each performance.

First Aider
British Red Cross - Cambridgeshire Branch
Volunteers are needed to train as qualified First Aiders. Training takes place weekly at the British Red Cross Offices on Coldhams Lane. When fully trained, volunteers provide First Aid at public events across Cambridgeshire. After the volunteer becomes trained, there is also the possibility of training them as a First Aid trainer.
