Core Music Youth is looking for volunteers to take part in a wide variety of activities. Things such as photography, website design, publicity, admin (meeting minutes, secretarial duties etc). Core Youth is a Tynedale based group (meeting place is Hexham) that do various music related projects. Currently were in the first phases of producing a compilation album of bands from around the region that we hope to be able to distribute when made. No music experience is needed! Let us know your skills and interests and we will try to find something to suit you.

Ushers
DanceEast
DanceEast brings world-class dance to the East of England. We are looking for ushers for a number of upcoming performances. Volunteers would be briefed about the evenings performance and then asked to greet guests, check tickets, sell programmes and answer general questions before the performance and during the interval. DanceEast will be presenting an electic programme of performances throughout the year, widening the experience of audiences and bringing a new and invigorated audience to dance. Ushers will be asked to arrive by 6.30pm, to stay until after the interval or end of performance around 9.30 - 10.00pm.You could commit to one off performances or be part of a regular volunteer usher team. DanceEast encourages emerging artists, providing a framework of training, support and performance opportunities. DanceEast supports Wayne McGregor | Random Dance and Bonachela Dance Company as Associate Dance Companies, and Isobel Cohen and Heather Eddington as Associate Dance Artists. 8 volunteers are required for each performance.

The event itself could be anything the group choose from a black tie ball, a sponsored abseil event, a fashion show, a sponsored walk or anything you think of. City Woods mission is to respect trees grown in urban environments and to utilize the timber resources they produce once they are felled. We are avid promoters of wood recycling and carry out work relating to all aspects of timber processing including removing and using wood that would otherwise go to landfill to carpentry design to creative gardening projects.We work a lot with volunteers of all ages and some of our most successful projects have linked teams of Mencap volunteers and acting support volunteers who can deliver timber based DIY projects in old peoples homes, community gardens and public spaces.Much of what we do at City Wood is not well documented and we are looking for a small team of two or three volunteers to help us to design a profesional portfolio to help us to better organise and present the huge range of services we offer so that we can do more good work!We are ideally looking for someone who can put some copy together with a professional writing style so that we can show the business side and more importantly, document the social side of what we do. We would need this document to be sent out by email and also in print.If you have friends who can help you carry out bits of this work, they are more than welcome to work with you.

Virtual YAT
vinvolved Coventry (VAC)
The Youth Action Team is a group made up of young volunteers aged 16-25 who help develop, influence and support the vinvolved teams activity in Coventry. We are now launching a new role Virtual YAT.vinvolved rely heavily on the important input that young people give them through their YAT roles. However, not everyone can commit to attending all the meetings required for many of the roles. The Virtual YAT role will allow you to have your say and be consulted on a range of ideas and activities presented by the vinvolved team. This could involve you identifying a community issue and highlighting what activities you want locally to tackle the issues. The YAT also have a budget so you could have your say on how that budget is spent to develop youth volunteering in Coventry.The beauty of this role is that its all virtual, you may be required to respond to emails or online survey without even leaving your bedroom and you can still work toward gaining your national v awards and the many incentives vinvolved Coventry offer their young volunteers.
