16-25 General Music Group Volunteer

vinvolved Newcastle and Northumberland

Core Music Youth is looking for volunteers to take part in a wide variety of activities. Things such as photography, website design, publicity, admin (meeting minutes, secretarial duties etc). Core Youth is a Tynedale based group (meeting place is Hexham) that do various music related projects. Currently were in the first phases of producing a compilation album of bands from around the region that we hope to be able to distribute when made. No music experience is needed! Let us know your skills and interests and we will try to find something to suit you.

Ushers

DanceEast

DanceEast brings world-class dance to the East of England. We are looking for ushers for a number of upcoming performances. Volunteers would be briefed about the evenings performance and then asked to greet guests, check tickets, sell programmes and answer general questions before the performance and during the interval. DanceEast will be presenting an electic programme of performances throughout the year, widening the experience of audiences and bringing a new and invigorated audience to dance. Ushers will be asked to arrive by 6.30pm, to stay until after the interval or end of performance around 9.30 - 10.00pm.You could commit to one off performances or be part of a regular volunteer usher team. DanceEast supports Wayne McGregor | Random Dance and Bonachela Dance Company as Associate Dance Companies, and Isobel Cohen and Heather Eddington as Associate Dance Artists. 8 volunteers are required for each performance.

Press Archive: Cut Out and Keep

The Fishmarket

This is a Promo/Media support role in which we need volunteers to spot and collect Fishmarket publicity/articles that appear in the press and online. You'll be collecting press cuttings/print outs for the archive which will eventually be accessible online. We're looking for articles covering exhibitions, events, fundraising and any news. We've set up a drop-in point in the Fishmarket office for everyone to use. This is an ongoing role, with flexible hours and is best done little and often, scanning the local media, finding relevant online articles and bringing in anything you find. In spite of its simplicity this is an important role - the more eyes we have on the lookout for press recognition, the better we can document our progress.This is a flexible role that be done in the Fishmarket office or from home.

Virtual YAT

vinvolved Coventry (VAC)

The Youth Action Team is a group made up of young volunteers aged 16-25 who help develop, influence and support the vinvolved teams activity in Coventry. We are now launching a new role Virtual YAT.vinvolved rely heavily on the important input that young people give them through their YAT roles. However, not everyone can commit to attending all the meetings required for many of the roles. The Virtual YAT role will allow you to have your say and be consulted on a range of ideas and activities presented by the vinvolved team. This could involve you identifying a community issue and highlighting what activities you want locally to tackle the issues. The YAT also have a budget so you could have your say on how that budget is spent to develop youth volunteering in Coventry.The beauty of this role is that its all virtual, you may be required to respond to emails or online survey without even leaving your bedroom and you can still work toward gaining your national v awards and the many incentives vinvolved Coventry offer their young volunteers.
