STAR - Support And Training Against Racism
STAR, a multicultural resource library in Bath, requires volunteers who can translate children's books for under 8s. Translating from English into any foreign language, creating dual language books that give young children from non-English speaking backgrounds an opportunity to experience, learn and appreciate their own native language alongside English. Volunteers can choose to translate as many books as they wish, at their own speed, doing this from homes.

FIRS Central needs a volunteer PUBLISHER to design, create, produce and distribute advertising, introduction, and newsletter matter for the club. Also to design and produce programmes etc. for special events i.e. competitions, concerts, exhibitions etc.Capable and enjoying the creative act, the Publisher will be invited to joint the Club Management Committee. FIRS have some 950 members meeting in 10 venues- town centre, Shirley, hobs Moat, Elmdon Heath, Knowle and has continuing need to recruit new members. The Publisher will play a leading role in getting our offers to those recently made redundant (50+ age group), where we can help make a big improvement in their lives.

vinvolved Coventry (VAC)
The Youth Action Team is a group made up of young volunteers aged 16-25 who help develop, influence and support the vinvolved teams activity in Coventry. We are now launching a new role Virtual YAT.vinvolved rely heavily on the important input that young people give them through their YAT roles. However, not everyone can commit to attending all the meetings required for many of the roles. The Virtual YAT role will allow you to have your say and be consulted on a range of ideas and activities presented by the vinvolved team. This could involve you identifying a community issue and highlighting what activities you want locally to tackle the issues. The YAT also have a budget so you could have your say on how that budget is spent to develop youth volunteering in Coventry.The beauty of this role is that its all virtual, you may be required to respond to emails or online survey without even leaving your bedroom and you can still work toward gaining your national v awards and the many incentives vinvolved Coventry offer their young volunteers.
