Waterproof patch?

Question

I'm going on holiday for two weeks and planning to go snorkelling for three to four hours a day. Will it affect the reliability of the contraceptive patch?

Answer

According to the fpa, the contraceptive patch is very sticky, and should stay in place during exercise, swimming, and in the shower or bath. You can speak to a nurse via the fpa Helpline on 0845 310 1334, or NHS Direct on 0845 46 47.

Alternatively, you can get medical advice from a doctor at Brook, a family planning clinic or from your local doctor (GP).
