Question

I just broke up with my boyfriend and I'm not sure how I can face seeing him at school.

We're due to go back in a few days after a holiday and I need to know how to get over him quickly so it won't be too hard. Any advice?

Answer

You've gone through a tough time, and it's understandable your emotions are a bit up in the air at the moment. It doesn't make things any easier that you're going back to school, but at least it gives you something to focus on.

Although it'll probably be tough facing him again, it's worth remembering you'll have plenty of friends around you to turn to see you through it. If you're finding it all too intense, why not consider talking to your ex about the situation? Chances are he'll be finding it just as difficult. He can only respect you for acknowledging the predicament and suggesting you both find a constructive way to deal with it.

Whether you end up talking through any unresolved issues between you, or agree to keep your distance so you can both find your feet again, you'll find each day can only get easier.
