Bouncers and the law

Once a law unto themselves, there are now regulations bringing bouncers into check.

The law

Under the Private Security Industry Act 2001, doormen have to be licensed and are breaking the law unless they are wearing a badge to show they have been trained and vetted.

On the door

However unfair it might seem, the law says that bouncers can refuse entry without giving any reason.
