How to stay safe when you are out alone.
Out partying:
- Be careful - getting drunk or taking drugs can make you vulnerable;
- Plan in advance how you are going to get home;
- Beware of spiked drinks;
- Always tell someone where you are going and when you expect to return.
Taxis:
- Don't hail a minicab from the street or accept a lift from a minicab touting for trade;
- Try to share a cab with a friend;
- Sit in the back of the cab and ask the driver to stop so that you can get out if you feel uncomfortable.
