How many units of alcohol do you drink?
You may be able to down five pints of lager on a Friday night, but we find out how much you actually know about your booze intake and what you think of those shock tactic advert campaigns.
I drink on average four pints a day. That's got to be close to 90 units a week because you've got to include weekends as well. With anti-drinking campaigns, I think it's down to the individual how responsible they are. I drink how much I want to and I'm not put off by anything else.
Laura, 22 It's nice to know what the guidelines are, but I feel like it's forced down your throat a little bit, especially with the adverts that are on at the moment. I don't really know whether I'm a binge drinker or not because there are conflicting reports in the media about what's safe and what's not.
Natasha, 22 On average I drink two glasses of wine. I think a safe limit is a bottle of wine a week or a glass of wine per day.
Rhiannon, 20 I only really drink when I go out so it'll usually be quite a lot, but I wouldn't be able to say exactly how much.
George, 20 A safe limit is about three a day. How much I drink doesn't worry me. Someone smaller or younger than me would though, but for me I think it's fine.
AJ, 19 I do think that young girls should realise they can't drink as much as some guys. Knowing that drinking over the limit can affect your fertility when you're older makes me worry about it.
Ruby, 20 It's good to be aware and to know what units you are supposed to drink, but then they shouldn't enforce it too much.
Dan, 19 I don't really worry about it because generally we're quite young and it'll be something we will grow out of. To say that you should only drink 10 units a week seems a bit silly when we all drink a lot more than that and the Government doesn't seem to take this into consideration.
