Beverly, 25 I think everyone is entitled to do what they want as long as they don't make other people do it. If it's in the privacy of their own home then they can go ahead. I can see why the press make examples of models and footballers who take drugs. Maybe young boys and girls will follow in their footsteps. The press go out of their way to find out about celebrities' private lives and will follow them until they find something bad they can use against them.

Somsu, 17 Celebrities and politicians shouldn't take drugs because they are supposed to show us how to behave, they are our role models. Young people take more notice of bad celebrities, so they're more likely to copy their behaviour. It wouldn't bother me if a politician took drugs in their youth because certain people change and realise their mistakes. Anyone can be an idiot when they're young.

Ashraf, 17 I don't think it's alright for celebrities to take drugs because people idolise them. If they took drugs, young people would think this is an acceptable thing to do, so I don't think it's appropriate. If a politician took drugs as a teenager, this shouldn't be an issue. People change and become more mature.

Sheba, 17 I am against celebrities and politicians taking drugs because I'm generally anti-drugs. If a politician took drugs when he was a teenager, I think it would be OK as long as he can prove he has completely reformed and can control himself.

Jemma, 17 It doesn't bother me what celebs and politicians get up to behind closed doors. As long as they don't smoke or snort drugs in public, I don't care. It also doesn't bother me if politicians took drugs in their youth. Everyone takes drugs at some point in their life. But, I would have a problem if they took drugs while they were a politician.

Rory, 18 I think it's perfectly OK for celebs to take drugs. I don't think politicians should take drugs as they are making 'life or death' decisions every day.  It wouldn't bother me if politicians took drugs when they were young. Most of them have anyway.
